The wait for the two best baseball teams in the KCAC to finally collide is closer than expected, as Oklahoma Wesleyan and Kansas Wesleyan's three game set has been moved up a day. The time change is due to the weather.

OKWU and KWU will play one game on Thursday and a doubleheader on Friday at Silver Lake Field off Silver Lake Rd.

Both the Eagles and Coyotes are 26-4 in conference play. OKWU has won 10 in a row, Kansas Wesleyan has won 12 straight. The Eagles dominated Evangel University on Tuesday, 17-4, Kansas Wesleyan completed their season series sweep over Sterling College on Tuesday in a come from behind win, 7-5.

In what's already been an impressive season for OKWU baseball with a 39-5 record, the Eagles have seen some weekly honors throughout the season. The most recent was Jacob Morgan winning KCAC Pitcher of the Week last week.

Head coach Kirk Kelley talked about Morgan's adaptability.

First pitch on Thursday from Silver Lake Field is set for 2 p.m.
