OKWU Advances to Third Fab Four

For the third time in program history, Oklahoma Wesleyan is going to the Fab Four after their win over LSU Alexandria on Saturday night in Kansas City, 98-87.
OKWU got out to one of their hottest starts of the season in the first few minutes and didn't look back. OKWU led 25-5 early and 45-32 at the half.
OKWU had the better matchup underneath the basket compared to LSUA's guard outlook. Jaden Lietzke went for 30 points and 13 rebounds.
The win sends Oklahoma Wesleyan into the Fab Four for the first time since 2010. The last national championship for OKWU came the year prior in 2009. It's the first time OKWU has been this far in the tournament since the NAIA merged Division I and Division II for the 2019-20 season.
OKWU will take on Freed-Hardeman University on Monday night. The Lions are the defending national champions.
Tip-off for Monday night is set for 7 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City. Coverage of the game can be heard on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. Pregame coverage will start at 6:45.
