OKU Track and Field Excels at Regionals

Oklahoma Union track and field finished in the top two in both boy's and girl's team scores at 2A regionals in Cashion on Saturday.
 
Highlighted by two regional championships individually on the boys side, OKU finished tied for first with Cashion. Haden Johnson finished first in shot put and discus. Also in the field, Colten Wickham finished second in the long jump.
 
On the track, the Cougar boys were led by their relay teams. The 4x400-meter relay team of Wickham, Koen Lowery, Jensen Anderson and Travis Williams finished second.

Herrenbruck finished sixth in shot put and second in discus behind Johnson.
 
On the girls' side, OKU took home two regional championships. Raiden Kuehn won the 800-meter dash and finished second in the 1600-meter race. Sara Eveleigh won a regional championship in shot put.
 
Lauryn Jackson and Taylor Dixon contributed with top five finishes in the 3200-meter race.

The 4x200-meter relay team, composed of Lillie McClintock, Cenzie Smith, Sawyer Jackson and Kinley Langworthy, finished fourth on Saturday.
 
The 2A state track meet will take place May 8 and 9 at Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City.
