OKU Football Preparing for Fall Camp
Time is ticking away until kickoff for high school football in the state of Oklahoma, and the same goes for Bruce Munden and the Oklahoma Union Cougars.
OKU enters 2025 into a new era of Cougar football, with Munden at the helm for year one this season.
Every school in the state is coming off of the OSSAA mandated dead period, where coaches and athletes were required to take nine days off from practice with each other. Athletes were not allowed to practice or play at a school-owned facility during that time. Munden talked about the benefits of the dead period.
Coming out of the dead period, and now into July, the Cougars inch closer to fall camp. Munden said he's looking for leaders out of fall camp.
OKU opens against Colcord on Aug. 29.
