Mustangs Open Season 3–0

The Oologah Mustangs baseball team is off to a strong start this season with a 3–0 record in their opening games. Oologah picked up two close wins over Wagoner, defeating the Bulldogs 4–2 and 2–1. The Mustangs followed that up with a dominant 12–0 victory over Bristow to remain unbeaten.

Oologah was also scheduled to face Collinsville, but that game was postponed due to rain. Despite the early schedule change, the Mustangs have shown solid pitching and timely hitting through their first three games of the season.

Head coach Layle DeVilbiss said the team is pleased with the early results and is focused on continuing that momentum. “The guys are playing well early,” DeVilbiss said. “We are looking forward to competing well against Jay and continuing to play well and make a run to win the Sperry tournament.” The Mustangs will look to stay unbeaten as they take on Jay in a doubleheader tonight.
