The Pawhuska Lady Huskies are two years removed from a run to the Class 2A state semifinals. After an early exit in regionals a year ago, Pawhuska is looking to find that same success from 2022 and make another state tournament appearance.

Senior Hannah Reynolds was a major part of that state tournament team's success. Madison Easley, Maggie Green, Pari Harper and Maddie Reynolds also played contributions. Coach David Cash said there will be a number of younger players making an impact as well.

Cash is in his sixth year as head coach for the Pawhuska Lady Huskies. He says it is to the point now where the girls know what to expect and what the standard needs to be.

Pawhuska will get its season started on Thursday in the Cleveland Tournament in a game against Mingo Valley. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. The boys will follow, as they are scheduled to take on Metro Christian. Both games can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM and audio will be available on KPGMTV.com.
