Indians Sweep Barons in DBAT Play

The Doenges Toyota Indians had a successful KWON Night at the Ballpark on Wednesday night, as the Tribe swept the Tulsa Barons in two games at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. Now the program’s eyes turn toward the Winget on Thursday.
Bartlesville won two games in DBAT League, 10-5 and 11-2 to get set for its annual 4th of July tournament.
In game one it wasn’t as easy as the final score would indicate. The Indians trailed 5-4 into the sixth before Bartlesville rallied with six runs in that sixth inning to win it.
The big knock came on a triple from Nate Sloan to drive in two more runs and erase all doubt.
Bartlesville hung around in game one despite an early 3-0 and 5-3 deficit because of great outings out of the bullpen from Zane Stricklin and Kamen Sprague. The two combined for 5.2 innings, they surrendered two hits, no runs, had seven strikeouts and no walks.
In game two, things were a bit easier. It was another six-run inning, this time in the bottom of the third, that gave the Indians a leg up.
Lathe and Zane Griggs went the first 4.1 innings on the bump, then Kaden Romesburg closed it down with 1.2 scoreless.
The wins move Bartlesville to 16-7-2 on the summer.
