Indians Relied on Clark in 2024

Five days ago, the Doenges Ford Indians wrapped up their summer play.

It was a successful season by all metrics, as the Tribe finished eight games above .500 and had solid runs in several of their tournaments.

Bartlesville also added in several new players, as the club was 19-and-under once again this year. It was the first time since 2019 they did not have mostly college players.

Head coach John Pannell wrapped up his fifth season of his second stint as manager. He talks about the past summer as a whole.

One of the top storylines of the new-look club was pitcher Grant Clark. Clark became the Indian’s ace this past summer. He led the team in innings and provided Bartlesville with a stable No. 1 starter for tournament play.

In fact, he made two starts this past weekend at the state tournament.

Pannell talks about Clark’s season.

Clark threw 47.1 innings. 15 more innings than the next closest Indian.

Despite some tougher starts toward the end of the season, he still finished with a solid 4.28 ERA over the course of 10 starts and 12 appearances. The 10 starts were five more than the next closest pitcher.
