The Doenges Ford Indians have now won four straight games after a Tuesday night double header sweep over the Diamond Dawgs of Independence, KS, 5-1 and 11-1. Game one went the full seven innings but was never in doubt. The Indians took an early 2-0 lead after two innings and then piled on three more in the fourth.

This single from Bryce Leulf helped bring in the second run of the game.

It was pitching by committee in game one for Bartlesville as four Indians graced in the mound in seven innings of play. Grant Clark got the start and the win after a two-inning outing and grabbed one strikeout. The real story on the mound was Trey Bennett, who struck out four of the just six batters he faced.

Game two was much less dramatic but the Indians did trail early 1-0 before a four-run bottom half of the first to retake and keep the lead. Luke Fox started off with some early magic as he hit a lead-off inside the park homerun to tie the game at one.

Hunter Shea would knock in three more runs in the first after a bases clearing double to make it 4-1 Indians. Doenges would add five more in the second inning thanks to five straight singles and a couple walks to make it 9-1 after two innings of play.

Leulf, Eric Olenberger, and Jaxon Zaun combined to throw a five inning three-hit game with no earned runs given up. Indians improve to 19-12-1 and will turn right around for the start of pool play of the Stan Musial World Series at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium on Wednesday night.

First pitch for the Indians will be at 7:30 on KWON and KWONTV.com
