The Doenges Ford Indians went 2-0 on Friday against the collegiate league Diamond Dawgs to improve their summer record to 8-2. Both games could not have been more different with game one being an 11-inning walk-off win for the Indians, 4-3.

After six-straight innings of scoreless baseball, Brendan Asher stepped up in the 11th with Kaleb Bashford on third, and delivered.

Eric Olenberger had a solid game one, going 3-3 with two doubles and was also walked three times. Here is one of his two doubles from game one.

Bartlesville used four pitchers, but Luke Fox would get the win after throwing three scoreless in the final innings to hold off the Dawgs.

The Indians would suffer six errors but in the end were still able to grab the win in game one of two Friday night. Now, with game one going so long, game two was set as just a five-inning game.

Trey Bennett got the start for the Indians in game two and was flawless as he went out and got his second win of the summer after tossing seven strikeouts in five innings en route to a 6-0 win. Bennett shut down the Diamond Dawgs offensively as he surrendered just two hits and two walks.

Offensively for the Indians, they would explode in inning number two as they would score four of their six runs. Jaxon Zaun got things rolling as he got a base knock to bring in the first two of the game.

Defense also reared its head for the Indians as Hunter Shea was able to cut a run down at home after a single. Here is how the defensive play sounded last evening.

The Indians will be right back at it Saturday evening as they will do battle with Neodesha, KS in another double header at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. First game will start at 4 pm, and we will have coverage for you on KWON and KWONTV.com
