Indians Fall - Back Home Friday

Bartlesville’s summer baseball team has a mini three-game losing skid since winning its own Glen Winget Tournament a couple of weeks ago - The Indians will wrap up their home schedule on Friday and Saturday.

The Doenges Toyota Indians went 0-2 in the Stan Musial World Series at home this week, as the Tribe fell to the Tulsa Sandlot on Thursday night, 5-1.

Most of the action was early. The Indians surrendered three runs in the first inning, then scored a single run back in the second. There was only one more half frame with a run of the rest of the contest.

After digging a hole in the first, Coen Miller and Easton Davis combined to get Bartlesville on the board with a base hit to left.

Bartlesville would not score again.

Despite not getting on the board, Zane Stricklin and Sterling Kroh both had their moments on the mound later in the contest. Stricklin got his first strikeout of the game at the end of the third inning to keep some momentum.

Bartlesville dropped to 20-11-2 on the year with the loss. The Indians went 0-2 in the event this week despite out-hitting their opponents a combined 12-9.

The Indians are bounced from the Stan Musial World Series but still have some home baseball this weekend. RBI Native visits for three games to wrap up the Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium action this summer.

A 7:00 first pitch on Friday night in a single nine inning game we’ll have for you on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1 with video coverage on KWONTV.com.

It will be a 2:00 PM first pitch in a double-header on Saturday.
