Indians Fall in Home Finale

The Doenges Toyota Indians wrapped up the home portion of their schedule on Thursday night, as Bartlesville's summer baseball team fell to Tulsa Sandlot.
Tulsa topped Bartlesville, 10-1.
Early runs for the opponent again spelled trouble for the Indians.
Sandlot scored four two-out runs in the second inning after a fluky play allowed the frame to continue. Tulsa then tacked on five more over the fifth and sixth to end the game one frame early.
Bartlesville had trouble offensively facing an NCAA D2 pitcher out of Pittsburg State. The Indians did get a run on a pass ball in the bottom of the third.
The best play of the night came on a double-play ball. Former Pawhuska standout Ryan Jones got the start on the mound and settled in over the third and fourth. This double-play took away a leadoff baserunner for Tulsa in the fourth.
The loss drops Bartlesville to 22-24 on the summer.
The Indians have only one event left on the schedule, the State Legion Tournament in Ada. Bartlesville will be in the tournament next weekend. We will have coverage and will get the bracket for you when it’s released.
