Indians Baseball Ties Twice in Stroud

The Doenges Toyota Indians tied both of their games in Stroud Monday night.
 
The Indians tied with the Oklahoma Lookouts in game one, 4-4, and again in game two, 2-2.
 
In game one, the Indians never led, but the offense came to life at the right time. The bats came to life in the final two innings, erasing a 4-0 deficit. Bartlesville scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth and the tying run in the seventh.
 
This triple from Grant Goldman tied the game at four.
 
Goldman finished the first game with 2 RBI and a walk, he went 3-for-3 at the plate. The Indians finished with eight hits to complement their four runs. Goldman was left at third representing the winning run, no extra innings were played.
 
Game two saw a pitcher's duel from the start. Easton Howard started for the Indians, he retired six of the first seven batters he faced, striking out five. Howard finished with eight strikeouts over four innings of work.
 
Howard struck out the side in the bottom of the second inning.
 
Kaden Romesburg pitched an inning in relief, he allowed one walk and recorded a strikeout. Lathe Griggs pitched a scoreless sixth inning to end the game in a tie.
 
The Indians were held to three hits in the second game. They held a 1-0 lead for a half-inning in the third before the Lookouts took control after four innings. Goldman prevented a double play in the top of the sixth, bringing home the tying run.
 
The Lookouts left the winning run at second in the bottom of the sixth. They were held to two hits in the finale, one of their runs scored was unearned.
 
The ties move Bartlesville's record to 14-7-2 overall. They are back in action Wednesday night for a doubleheader against the Tulsa Barons. Game one of Wednesday's doubleheader is KWON Night at the Ballpark.
