Huskies, Lady Huskies Play for Championship

Both Pawhuska teams have advanced to the championship game of the Mike Kerr Classic in Morrison after each team got a win over Frontier. The Lady Huskies won with ease, while the boys won yet another close contest.
On the guys side, the Huskies gritted out yet another hard fought 48-44 win. The largest lead for either team was seven and that came down the stretch for Pawhuska with two minutes remaining.
That bucket gave Pawhuska a 45-38 lead and the Huskies were able to sink free throws late en route to the victory. It was a slow start for both teams, as Pawhuska led 9-6 at the end of the first quarter and the game was knotted up at 21 apiece with 30 seconds left in the first half when Pawhuska went on a quick 4-0 run.
Jaden Spicer and Jenson Snodgrass both finished in double figures for Pawhuska. The Huskies find themselves on a five game winning streak following the win and their overall record is now 6-5.
The Lady Huskies dominated from start to finish in a 62-36 victory over the Frontier Lady Mustangs. Pawhuska led 37-17 at halftime. Brooklyn Miles shined once again, scoring 28 points. Emily Curry finished the game with 19.
On championship Saturday, the Lady Huskies will get the evening started at 7 p.m. with a game against Pawnee. The boys will take on OCA following the conclusion of that contest. We will have both of those games for you on 99.1 FM KPGM and streaming with audio available at KPGMTV.com.
