Huskies, Doggers Split on Tuesday

Pawhuska and Dewey met up on the basketball court for the second time in a week on Tuesday night. Smilar results were shown on the scoreboard with the Lady Huskies getting a 45-36 win and the Bulldoggers getting a 56-43 victory.
The Lady Huskies led Dewey 27-16 at halftime, but were never able to shake Dewey in the second half. The Lady Doggers trimmed the lead to six entering the fourth quarter. The lead stood at six midway through the final frame when Madison Reynolds hit this clutch bucket, her lone one of the night.
Brooklyn Miles led the way in scoring for Pawhuska, finishing with 21. Emily Curry added 14.
On the guys side, it was all Dewey from the jump. Offensive woes plagued Pawhuska in the first half, as the Huskies trailed 14-2 at the end of the first quarter and 27-14 at halftime.
Scoring was well-distributed for Pawhuska with four players scoring eight points or more. Three of those players were Zach Renfroe, Jay Murguia and Tra Hicks, players who all contributed to start the second half strong.
Renfroe led all scorers with 13 points. Dac Godsey finished with 11 for Pawhuska.
Pawhuska will host Ripley on Friday, while Dewey hosts Caney, Ks.
