The Pawhuska Huskies and Lady Huskies travelled to Hennessey to take on Canute in day three of the Skordle Festival and came away with very different results. The Huskies got a dominant win, while the Lady Huskies fell by 26.

In an 83-55 win, the Pawhuska Huskies showed their best offensive production of the year. After an early 7-3 deficit, the Huskies went on a 12-0 run and never looked back. It was 43-28 at halftime and Pawhuska maintained a double-digit lead for the entirety of the second half.

To get the offense going early, here is Jenson Snodgrass stepping into an open three pointer.

Darien West, Dax Godsey, Jadon Spicer, Antwine Hamilton and Snodgrass were all in double figures for Pawhuska. The win moves Pawhuska to 10-8 on the year.

On the girls side, it was a great start for Pawhuska. Mylee Jensen scored the first five points of the game and the Lady Huskies led it 7-0, but the Lady Trojans came storming back for a 64-38 win. That snaps what was a 15 game winning streak for Pawhuska.

The Lady Huskies trailed 26-19 at halftime, but that deficit quickly reached double figures and they were never able to climb back in it. Brooklyn Miles led the way, finishing with 12 points. Emily Curry added 10. With the loss, the Lady Huskies fall to 16-2.

It will be a busy week for Pawhuska. They are scheduled to play three games in three games in four days, all of which be on the road. That starts Tuesday with a game at Ripley. You can hear that game on 99.1 FM KPGM and streaming on KPGMTV.com beginning at 6 p.m.
