Huskies Set to Take on Nowata in Season Opener
The Pawhuska Huskies take the field for a week zero matchup against Nowata on Friday night. In the big early season district matchup, coach Matt Hennesy says his team is fully healthy.
Hennesy adds it is important the Huskies come out and play well from the jump, as the Ironmen made the playoffs last year for the first time since 2019.
Hennesy feels as though his group has a good gameplan heading into the game and credits his coaching staff for that.
Friday night's game is also youth night so all students involved in Pawhuska youth sports will get to run out of the tunnel and get introduced.
Kickoff from Ormond-Beach Memorial Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. on KPGM FM 99.1 and streaming on KPGMTV.com.
