Huskies Getting to Practice on Thanksgiving
It has been four years since the Pawhuska Huskies have had the opportunity to practice on Thanksgiving Day. That opportunity has presented itself once again this year, as the Huskies have a bye week in anticipation of their Class A-1 semifinal matchup with Rejoice Christian next Friday.
Coach Matt Hennesy knows this is something his team should never take for granted and they are savoring the opportunity to be on the field.
Pawhuska was out of school all week. Between being out of school and having the bye week, Hennesy talked about how he treated Thanksgiving week as a whole.
Pawhuska's game with Rejoice Christian will be a 7 o' clock kickoff next Friday from Oologah High School. The winner advances to the state championship game.
