Great Finish at 6A State for Bruin XC
Bartlesville High cross country standout Gentry Turner burst herself into a top-five finish and an All-State designation during Bartlesville’s performance at 6A State cross country this past weekend in the Oklahoma City metro area.
Turner finished with a great time of 18:07.33, only a few seconds off her record sub-18 time earlier this year.
In large part thanks to Turner, BHS finished eighth out of 14 teams qualified on the girl’s side. Katherine Manly, Lauren Shoesmith and Emily Lechuga all finished in the top-50 for BHS out of more than 100 of the state’s best competing.
For the Bartlesville boys, Will Bolding finished 55th and Russell Miller finished 75th as the two BHS guy qualifiers. The Bruin boys will return a large share of their production from this past fall.
