Golfer Jay Wasemiller Just Misses Cut in OGA Amateur

Bartlesville Bruin golf standout Jay Wasemiller competed in the 114th Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur on Monday.
The tournament features lots of division one talent from around the state. Wasemiller missed the cut by one stroke, he shot a 72 in the opening round. He would've advanced to match play in a round of 32 golfers if he made the cut.
The top finisher in round one was Jaxon Bandelier, a rising sophomore at Oklahoma State University. Bandelier shot a 64.
Wasemiller was the 2026 6A state runner-up. He finished one shot back of the state champion after shooting a 64 in the final round of the tournament.
Wasemiller will be a senior at Bartlesville next season.
