Dewey Track One Day Down at State Meet

Dewey track and field is off to a solid start at the 3A state meet in Plainview, with one state title already secured.
 
On the girl's side, Londyn Bond won a state championship in the shot put. Kyla Overton finished third in that event. Camryn Jones finished as the runner-up in the high jump.
 
On the track, Eden McKinney qualified for the state finals on Saturday in the 100 meter hurdles. Jones, Overton, Lacey Nichols, Chanely Herren and Sayde Guilfoyle will all appear in events on Saturday.
 
On the guy's side, both Keidon Holt and Kavery Weathers qualified for the state finals in both the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles.
 
The Dewey girls sit in fourth place as a team through day one of the meet.
 
Saturday will wrap up the 3A state track and field meet from Plainview High School.
