Dewey set for showdown with Perkins-Tryon

The Dewey Bulldoggers face Perkins-Tryon in their home opener Friday on KRIG. Dewey looks to bounce back after last week's difficult 54-20 loss at Locust Grove.

It doesn't get any easier for the Bulldoggers in week one as they host a Demons team that had a historic run to the 3A state semifinals last year. Dewey Head Coach Ryan Richardson explains that playing teams like Locust Grove and now Perkins-Tryon sets them up to make a post-season run later.

Dewey looks to build on an excellent 2nd half at Locust Grove last week where they outscored the Pirates 20-12 to end the game. Now they take on a young Perkins-Tryon team loses much of their starters from a year ago. Richardson knows that his team has to take advantage and get the game into the 4th quarter.

Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 with kickoff at 7 on KRIG 104.9 and video on KRIGTV.com
