Dewey Rolls in Opener
It was a good night to be a Dewey Bulldogger, as Dewey opened the 2025-26 basketball season with a dominant 87-40 win on the road over Oklahoma Union.
Dewey got off to a 9-1 start and quickly grew the lead as the first half progressed. The Bulldoggers led 42-18 at halftime. This three-pointer by Austin Eastman put Dewey up by 20 midway through the second quarter.
Dewey scored a lot of their points in transition, capitalizing on missed shots and turnovers from OKU. One bright spot for the Cougars was Jensen Anderson, who fought through some contact to knock this shot down in the second half.
With the win, Dewey improves to 1-0 on the season. Next up for the Bulldoggers is Chelsea on the road on Dec. 2.
Oklahoma Union gets an extended time off as well between games. The Cougars drop to 0-1 with the loss and will take on Nowata on the road on Dec. 5. That ballgame can be heard on 104.9 - KRIG with video coverage on KRIGTV.com.
