Dewey Hoops Gets Set for District Play
Dewey will be on District play on Thursday evening as they are in a precarious situation this season heading into the playoffs. The Bulldoggers have to win a single-elimination contest on Thursday to make it officially into District play on Friday.
Dewey Head Coach Lance Knight talks about the situation for his team.
Both Bulldogger teams fell to Caney on Tuesday in a game that was non-consequential to playoff seeding and have a quick do-or-die turnaround this week.
Dewey guys will take on a 3-19 Vinita team at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in a win or go home game. As Knight mentioned, a win will push them into a district matchup with Catoosa on Friday night.
It’s an inverse for the girls, they have to beat Catoosa Thursday night to get to a district matchup with Vinita on Friday night. The girls and Hornets tip at 6 pm on Thursday.
