Dewey Hoops Advances to Regional Finals

Dewey Bulldogger basketball advanced to the consolation championship of their 3A regional on Friday with a dominant win over Salina, 83-54.
 
Dewey put together one of their best offensive performances of the season in the first half. They scored 28 points in the first quarter, followed up by a 21-3 second quarter to lead at the half, 49-16. This Kooper Crawford dunk was part of Dewey's big first quarter.
 
The Bulldoggers did more of the same in the second half, stretching the lead as large as 36 points. This Karson Johnson three-pointer kept the lead in the 30s in the third quarter.
 
The win puts the Bulldoggers one win away from the area tournament on Saturday afternoon, they will take on Adair at 2:30 p.m. Coverage can be heard on 104.9 - KRIG, with an audio only livestream on KRIGTV.com.
 
On the girl's side, the Lady Bulldoggers were also dominant over Salina to keep their season alive, 64-31. The Dewey girls will play Metro Christian at 1 p.m. for a spot in the area tournament.
