Dewey Bulldogger basketball prepares for a tough stretch of games in the final full week of the season, as they open the new week with a home contest against Sperry on Monday and turn around Tuesday for a road game against Chelsea.

Dewey enters the new week with a record of 10-9. They are coming off of a tough loss on the road on Friday night to the Caney Valley Trojans, 61-56.

The Bulldoggers are 1-0 against the Sperry Pirates this season, with a win on the road in their season opener on Dec. 3, 49-42. Sperry has just one win on the season over Class A Olive on Jan. 25, 48-35.

Chelsea will enter Tuesday’s contest with a record of 10-13, after a road loss to Nowata last week and a dominant home win over the Caney Valley Trojans in a rare Saturday game. Dewey beat Chelsea the last time the two teams met on Dec. 17 in Dewey, 46-28.

The Dewey girls will look for their first wins of the season against Sperry and Chelsea after dropping the first meetings. The Lady Bulldoggers enter the week with a record of 11-7.

Monday night’s action from Dewey will start at 6 p.m. with the girls game getting the night started. The boys game will follow around 7:30 p.m.
