Dewey Baseball Splits Area - 1 Win From State

Dewey baseball is one win away from the 3A State Tournament, as the Bulldoggers split two games on Thursday against Stigler in Area.
Dewey dropped the first game to the Panthers, 6-4. The Bulldoggers rebounded in game two with a 3-1 win to force a deciding game three of the Super Regional on Friday.
Both of Dewey’s starting pitchers struggled early in both games, which may be a silver lining. Both Lathe Griggs and Layne Gastel are going to be available after early exits.
Easton Davis and Levi Wilson carried the Bulldoggers.
In game two, Dewey scored a couple late runs to grab the victory and stay alive. Had Stigler won the Panthers would have moved on.
A 1:00 first pitch from Stigler in a deciding game three on Friday.
A win would give the Bulldoggers their first State Tournament appearance since 2014.
