Dewey Baseball Meets Washington in 3A State Tourney

Dewey Bulldogger baseball is in action Thursday night in the opening round of the 3A state tournament.

The Bulldoggers take on the Washington Warriors in a quarterfinal contest.

Dewey enters the game with an overall record of 30-9 and a record in the playoffs of 5-1. They won an area championship in Stigler on Friday in three games.

Washington enters the contest at 30-7 overall. The Warriors won their district with a 12-0 record. They are 4-1 in the postseason and 17-2 against 3A schools this season. Head coach Riley Allen talks about Washington.

For Dewey, this is their first appearance in the state tournament since 2014. After exiting last year's playoffs in a regional tournament in Silo, Allen talks about the excitement of the team getting to the state tournament.

Thursday's start time is set for 6:30 p.m. from Norman North High School. Coverage of the game can be heard on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1, with an audio only livestream on KWONTV.com.
