Dewey Baseball Heads to Stigler

Thursday is a big day for Dewey Baseball.
The Bulldogger baseball team will have a chance to move on to the 3A State Tournament if they can grab two wins on the road in Stigler in the 3A Area Tournament.
Dewey swept through its own 3A Regional to advance to Area on Thursday in Stigler. The Bulldoggers must beat the Panthers in two out of three games to move on. The first two games are at 2:00 and 4:00 today.
The Bulldogger’s pitching depth has been one of their biggest strengths the entire year. Dewey shut out its first two opponents in its own Regional last week.
Head coach Riley Allen talks about Dewey’s prowess on the mound.
15 of Dewey’s 28 wins have come when the Bulldoggers have allowed two runs or less.
Dewey enters the Area Tournament at 28-8. Stigler is 27-5.
If the two teams split their games on Thursday, the deciding game three would be Friday afternoon.
If Dewey wins two games it will be the Bulldoggers first appearance in State since 2014.
