Dewey Bulldogger baseball is two wins away from an appearance in the 3A state tournament after winning a regional championship on Friday.

The Bulldoggers beat Beggs in eight innings, 15-9.

After losing a three-run lead late in the contest, Dewey struck for seven in their half of the eighth to win the game. Relive the final call on KPGM.

The Bulldoggers, after pitching back-to-back shutouts to open the tournament, had to grind their way to the win. Dewey held two separate three run leads in the contest and Beggs had an answer each time. Beggs left the winning run on base in the seventh inning before Dewey's explosion in the eighth.

Allen talks about the team's resilience.

Dewey now enters the area tournament, where they will have to beat one team in a best-of-three series to advance to the state tournament. The Bulldoggers will know their assignment on Monday.
