Copan Tries to Bounce Back in Finale

Copan Hornet football had a disappointing outcoming during one of their biggest games in years this past Friday.

Copan fell at home to Wilson, 48-0.

The contest was for the District title.

The game was thrown off early. Head coach Marshall Foreman said the Hornets had some illnesses and injuries in the opening minutes that appeared to have a major effect on the team.

Foreman says that energy difference led to the lopsided loss.

Copan dropped to 7-2 with the loss, but more importantly, it took the Hornets out of contention to win their District.

Copan heads to Arkoma for its final regular season game of the year. The Hornets have the two-seed in the District and a home playoff game basically wrapped up regardless of the result.

Foreman talks about what he wants his guys to take out of the Wilson loss.

A 7:00 kick in Arkoma on Friday night.
