Copan Taps Kallenberger as HC

Copan has its new head football coach, and it is a familiar name to the area and the program.
Former Hornet assistant Trenton Kallenberger is taking the reins of the program. Kallenberger was an assistant under head coach Marshall Foreman for each of the past five seasons, building Copan into one of the better eight-man programs east of I-35 in that span.
Kallenberger talks about the continuity he can bring to this year’s team.
Kallenberger says he expects between 20-22 guys to be out for Copan football this spring for his first set of practices as head coach. Kalleberger was previously the head man at South Coffeyville before becoming a Hornet assistant under Foreman.

Copan went 8-2 and hosted a playoff game for the first time since 2008 this past fall. Foreman left his hometown to be an assistant with Pawhuska this upcoming season, his son Kane is expected to compete for the quarterback job with the Huskies.
