Summer months means football offseason workouts for high schools in the area.

Copan will have one of the more interesting 2026 seasons, as the Hornets will blend a new look bunch with some veterans.

Despite not winning a postseason contest the past couple of years, Copan has hosted a couple of playoff games. Four influential seniors graduated off that group.

Head coach Trenton Kallenburger is back again and he talks about what the Hornets are up to for the month of June

The best news for Copan football was the numbers during the spring. Despite losing the seniors that propelled the Hornets to some top-half District finishes, it appears the program is on solid footing for the long term.

Kallenburger talks about Copan football numbers.

Copan will operate in Class B-II District 3 this fall.

The Hornets will be with Cave Springs, Depew, Pond-Creek Hunter, Welch and Wesleyan Christian School.
