Copan Hoops to Focus on Defense
Another area high school basketball game called off on Tuesday featured Barnsdall and Copan.
The two small schools are still scheduled to hook up twice over the next week.
Both teams will get into the playoffs during the middle part of next month.
Copan enters the final 2.5 weeks of the regular season at 7-5. The Hornets did not play at all last week, opting for some time off before the stretch run of the season instead of a third regular season tournament.
Head coach Kolton Stacy talks about what the Hornets have been up to.
Copan has given up 65-points or more in two of its four games since Winter Break. The Hornets lost both of those games.
Stacy says his team is in the middle of a switch from zone to man defense. He says the focus during these final five regular season games will be on the defensive side.
The Barnsdall-Copan double-header in Copan will now be made up on February 5.
