Copan Hoops Begin Playoffs
We have some high school basketball playoffs on Thursday, as postseason basketball will be here over the next several weeks across Northeast Oklahoma.
The Copan boys headline the slate. The Hornet guys will play for their season. Copan has an elimination game at Medford in the first round of the B-1 District play.
This is a rematch from earlier this season. Medford beat Copan in overtime in the final day of the Medford Tournament, 69-64 back on Jan. 10.
Head coach Kolton Stacy talks about what stood out to him from the first matchup and playoff preview.
Defending without fouling has been a key for Copan this entire semester. Copan has given up more than 50 points only twice since that Medford loss.
Stacy talks about keys to playing solid defense against Medford.
The Copan girls get going Thursday in an elimination game against Glencoe 6:00. Copan and Medford guys elimination game is at 7:30.
