Bartlesville High baseball had its season end a few weeks ago in the first round of the 6A postseason.

The Bruins lost back-to-back games to go 0-2 in a Regional for the first time under head coach Cody Price.

Still, it was a successful season for BHS. Bartlesville went 20-17 and rallied from beneath .500 early in the season to finish fifth in the District and nearly knock off Broken Arrow in the first round of Regionals.

The Bruins had the Tigers down until the bottom of the sixth inning when BA rallied for a come-from-behind 5-3 win.

Head coach Cody Price talks about the close loss to Broken Arrow.

After losing to Broken Arrow it appeared Bartlesville would have a great chance to beat Putnam City Original and move on to day two of the Regional. However, BHS would lose 1-0 to go 0-2 in the Deer Creek Regional.

It was a good Pirate arm that ended the season. Price talks about the season-ending loss.

Despite the disappointing appearance in the postseason, it was still the fifth time in Price’s six full seasons that the Bruins have won 20 games or more.
