Cody Price Secures 100th Career Win With BHS Comeback

Bartlesville Bruin baseball completed their district series sweep over Norman on Tuesday in another come from behind win, 4-3.
 
Offense was a struggle early for the Bruins, they only put together one hit through the first four innings. Barrett Merciez kept the Bruins in it with exceptional pitching all night.
 
Norman led 2-0 going into the bottom of the fifth before BHS tied it. Carl Silva hit this double to left field to get the Bruins on the board.
 
The Bruins tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull ahead. Merciez shut the door in the seventh to secure the win. He pitched all seven innings, allowed eight hits, three runs, two walks and struck out seven.
 
The Bruins with the win improve to 12-7. They have won four in a row and seven of their last nine. The win is also the 100th for head coach Cody Price in his career.
 
BHS will be back in action against Booker T. Washington on Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
