Caney Valley football had one of their better games in recent memory last week, playing Hulbert tough early before running out of steam late in a 48-28 loss on Friday.
The 28 points were the most the Trojans have scored since they scored 38 in their last win against Wyandotte 38-0 on Sept 9. 2022.

Against Hulbert, Caney Valley had two receivers over 100 yards in Seth Perkins and Talon Bond, with Ethan Brown adding another 75 yards.

Quarterback Noah Mitchell had a career night completing 28-43 passes for 300 yards, and Head and Head Coach Stephen Mitchell was pleased overall with the offense.

Next up for Caney Valley is a home game against 1-1 Cleveland on Friday, Sept. 20.
