Caney Football Comes to a Close in 2023
The Caney Valley Trojans football season has come to an end in 2023 as they fell to Claremore Sequoyah this past Friday, 44-15. The scoreboard may not show it, but the Trojans played one of the better games they had in a while, as they tied their season high for points in a game last Friday and surrendered the least number of points since early October.
Head Coach Stephen Mitchell talked about the last loss of the season.
For the Trojans, this drops them to a winless end to the season at 0-10, after going 1-9 in 2023. Head Coach Stephen Mitchell though, says that he is proud and feels like the team got better as the season went on.
He mentioned what his message was to his seniors after their season ended.
For the Trojans, their football season has come to an end, along with other seniors who had nice careers in Caney Valley.
