Caelen Lopez - Patriot Auto Athlete of the Week
It is another Monday, which means it is time for another Patriot Auto Athlete of the week - Powered by Tri County Tech.
It is senior Caelen Lopez from Oklahoma Union. Caelen is a multi-sport athlete who just wrapped up his final football game for the Cougars in a win over Chelsea, 54-20.
Lopez says that he played soccer, baseball, and basketball at a younger age but the older he got, he decided he wanted to focus on track and football.
Lopez says he started with flag football at a young age as his introduction to sports, but mentions that it was really his parents that sparked his desire of wanting to compete in athletics.
Caelen says that as things stand he is not currently decided on if he will attend college or not, but that it is not the only route he is thinking about taking.
Lastly, Lopez hopes to end his high school track career on a high note with shot-put.
