Bullpups, Lady Bullpups Roll Past Fredonia
Caney Valley made the road trip to Fredonia look more like a tune-up than a test, sweeping both games against the Yellowjackets.
The Lady Bullpups bounced back in a big way after Tuesday’s 63-36 loss to Cherryvale, dismantling Fredonia 60-19. Caney Valley came out sharp, took control early, and never gave the Lady Yellowjackets a chance to breathe. This three by Alysa Scott was one of many. The lead grew so quickly that the entire fourth quarter was played under a running clock, a polite way of saying the game was over long before the final buzzer.
The Bullpups followed that up with a 79-68 win on the boys’ side. At one point, Caney Valley led by 21, and even with head coach Matt Washburn resting several starters, the offense kept rolling. Five different Bullpups finished in double figures, because apparently sharing really is caring. This Traxcyn Garton early on showed the kind of night it was going to be.
Both teams now head to Commerce, Oklahoma for Friday night action. You can catch the games on US 98.
