Bullpups Sweep Chargers on Homecoming

The Caney Valley Bullpups celebrated homecoming Tuesday night with a sweep of Cherryvale. The Lady Bullpups pulled away in the second half for a 60–54 win, while the boys cruised to a 65–34 victory.

Elyn Washburn scored 18 of her 22 points after halftime to lead the girls, with Molleigh Kaminska adding 21 as Caney improved to 9–1 and opened Tri-Valley District play with a win. The boys built separation with strong first and third quarters, led by 15 points each from Layne Denny and James Kistler. During halftime, Payton Darden and Bryleigh Rigdon were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. Caney travels to Iola to take on the Mustangs Squads tonight.
