It was another tough loss for Bartlesville High baseball on Tuesday night, as the Bruins battled but again couldn’t get many big hits in a loss at Enid.

Plainsmen held on for a 6-3 win and earned a District sweep over BHS.

Bartlesville out-hit Enid 10-9 but left eight guys stranded over the middle five innings. Again, Enid made the most of its opportunities. Five of the Plainsmen’s seven hits were for extra bases.

Sam Hill drove in all three runs for the Bruins. He gave Bartlesville its only lead of the series in the top of the first.

Enid would score the next five runs in the game. But just like Monday, Bartlesville did not go away. It was again Hill with two more runs driven in with two outs in the fourth on his second base knock.

Bartlesville left three in scoring position over the next two innings then went in order in the seventh.

Hudson Baker was solid as a starter, he went five then Sam Marcella retired the final six Plainsmen batters in order.

BHS falls to 8-10 and will have non-District games on the road Thursday and Friday.
