BHS Football Will Have Spots to Fill

At Bartlesville High, the Bruin football team is only 2.5 weeks away from practices kicking off across Northeast Oklahoma.

This fall will be an interesting mix for the Bruins. BHS will have multiple big-time returners, notably at quarterback and wide receiver in Nate Neal and Damien Niko. However, Bartlesville will also have to fill some holes.

Former running back PJ Wallace and wide receiver / defensive back Chase Eaves are both attending different schools this fall.

Neal at the QB spot will bring in three previous years of starting experience.

Wright says Neal continues to be one of the hardest workers on the team.

The recent departure of Eaves will leave plenty of opportunities for other wide receivers behind Niko.

Wright talks about a younger Bruin who has impressed at that position this offseason.

Bartlesville has won playoff games in back-to-back seasons the past two years, for the first time since 1987 and 1988.

High school football practices begin on Aug. 12.
