BHS Cross Country Begins Practice

Softball, volleyball and cross-country practices have all begun for high schools in Oklahoma.
All those sports have been eligible to practice for the past seven days, although most still have nearly three weeks before actual competitions.
Bartlesville head cross country coach David Ayres is back for year No. 21 leading the Lady Bruins and Bruins. BHS has been running in the mornings since last Wednesday.
It will be a young BHS girls’ team and a more veteran boys’ team this fall.
Ayres talks about the early preseason for the Bruins.
Ayres always mentions Pathfinder as a major asset for the Bartlesville program this time of year. The expansive path system in town gives his runners miles of paved options that are shaded during the right time of day.
Ayres talks about why Pathfinder is a gem.
The first meet for Bartlesville cross country will be in late August with most of the schedule really starting later in September.
