A lot of high school basketball on the docket on Tuesday night, as many local hoops clubs are getting ready for tournament play this weekend.

Both Bartlesville basketball teams will be up against it in one of the toughest double-headers of the season this evening against Edmond North. This is a rematch from the first District twin bill BHS played this season. The Huskies swept Bartlesville in the OKC metro in December.

On the guy’s side, BHS continues to look for positives amid a tough year in the record book. The Bruins lost by 24 against Jenks on Friday but scored the same number of points as the Trojans in the second half.

A trend of late, Bartlesville has played its younger varsity guys during freshman games and JV games to get them more positive minutes. Head coach Tommy DeSalme talks about the choice.

Bruin junior starting forward Dennis Duncan continues to be one of the major bright spots for BHS. Duncan has had numerous plays over the past two weeks that shows his progress. DeSalme says he wants to see more of that consistently from other guys.

On the girl’s side, BHS has won three of its last four. Edmond North girls won by 33, guys by 28 last time out.

A 6:30 tip for the girls. Guys to follow around 8:00 on Tuesday night on KWON with a video live stream on KWONTV.com.
