Back into the swing of another busy week of high school basketball kicking off on Tuesday night, as most prep hardwood teams will be in tournaments at some point this week.

For Bartlesville High, a tough double-header leading into tournament play this weekend. BHS girls and guys will host Broken Arrow Tuesday evening from Bruin Field House.

The Lady Bruins are trying to make it two in a row over BA, after Bartlesville knocked off the Tigers in the third-place game of the ConocoPhillips Arvest Invitational two weeks ago. Both Broken Arrow teams handled the Bruins somewhat easily during their first District matchup early in the season.

On the guy’s side, Bartlesville dropped a close game at Stillwater on Friday, snapping a three-game win streak.

The Bruin core is starting to get older, as the sophomores for BHS are not newbies to varsity ball. Head coach Jake Christenson says Bartlesville is starting to grow up.

Broken Arrow topped Bartlesville, 75-45 on the guy’s side in the first matchup. However, it was a closer game earlier in the fourth quarter.

Christenson talks about keys for the Bruins in a game like Broken Arrow.

6:30 tip for the girls, guys around 8:00, Broken Arrow in a double-header visits Bartlesville on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
