Bartlesville Braves Fall in Winget Consolation Game
The Bartlesville Braves fell in their consolation game in the Glen Winget Memorial Tournament Sunday morning to Branson.
The Braves fell, 7-5.
In a shortened game due to a time limit, Bartlesville got down early. Branson scored five runs in the top of the first inning, capitlalizing on five walks and two hits. The Braves cut into the deficit in the bottom of the first, thanks to a single from Ayden Sheline.
Branson took a six run lead into the bottom of the third when the Braves put their comeback together. Jackson Fox singled in two runs, Ayden Sheline singled in another run and Treyson Rabb got walked to get the Braves within two.
Bartlesville was held scoreless in their last chance to win it in the bottom of the fourth.
The Braves finish the Glen Winget Tournament with a record of 1-3. They are 9-5 overall on the summer.
