Asher Brilliant in Final Regular Season Start
This summer’s Indian and the former Bartlesville Bruin star Brenden Asher had one of his most impressive outings as a collegiate pitcher in a big spot on Saturday for ORU.
Asher got the start in the deciding game for the Golden Eagles trying to win the Summit League regular season championship. Asher threw six innings, gave up two runs, one earned, struck out four and walked two, as Oral Roberts beat South Dakota State 9-2.
It was Asher’s second win of the season.
The win gave ORU the conference championship. Asher has done a great job in the back half of the season and has locked down the third starting spot in the Golden Eagle rotation.
Here is how one of those four Ks sounded on Saturday in South Dakota.
ORU heads to Omaha, Nebraska as the No. 1 seed in the Summit Leage Tournament, which begins on Wednesday.
