Caney Valley (OK) Softball Starts Season 5-0

Caney Valley (OK) Lady Trojan softball is off to a 5-0 start following a perfect weekend in Nowata's tournament.
Caney Valley beat Oklahoma Union, Vinita's junior varsity team, Nowata and Sequoyah (Claremore) to win the tournament title and remain unbeaten.
The Lady Trojans beat Sequoyah on Saturday afternoon, 6-2. Caney Valley trailed 2-0 early before scoring six straight runs to win the game.
Anderly Edwards led the way in Saturday's win, she finished with three hits out of the leadoff spot and struck out six in the circle.
Caney Valley opens district play Monday against Mounds with another district game on Tuesday against Oktaha.
